Travel Diaries-Rajasthan-Udaipur

Our Rating

My year has started on an amazing note this time. To travel and explore is one of my goal this year and I want to do more of it. I decided to go to Rajasthan because of the amazing pictures of the beautiful palace around. I also wanted to see Pink city since I have heard a lot about it. I have never done train journey to anywhere long so one of the main reason to go on the trip was to get an experience of that but due to time constraint we had to opt for flight than a train. One of the reasons I could actually do this is because of my darling friend Ms.R, when asked if she could join me she agreed within seconds and we just acted on our impulse without any thorough planning. We decide to visit Udaipur-Ajmer-Pushkar-Jaipur in four days and trust me it was an amazing experience. I have divided this post into three parts since I had so many pictures to put up. We covered a couple of famous places in Udaipur that included The City Palace museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum) and the Pratap Memorial. I tried my best to click some good pictures but it is tourist season now and the places are really crowded and its impossible to find a place or spot without anyone in it.

City Palace, Udaipur, is a palace complex in Udaipur, in the Indian state Rajasthan. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years being contributed by several kings of the dynasty, starting by the Maharana Udai Singh II as the capital of the Sisodia Rajput clan in 1559, after he moved from Chittor.
